Thy Will be done… This weekend’s Gospel reminds each of us that we are here to follow the will of God. I think that it is a great coincidence that this is the Gospel reading at the beginning of the World Youth Day pilgrimage for millions of Catholics.
I write this reflection from my plane as I begin my journey to Poland. As I have been preparing for this trip, several people have “warned” me that big things come from pilgrimages such as World Youth Day. In those conversations, each person keeps reminding me to be open to the will of God, that it isn’t about my plan but His. This week as millions of Catholics travel to Poland to be with the Holy Father, and many others who will watch from home, it is my prayer that we as one big family can stay open to the will of God in our lives. I challenge each and every one of you to deliberately pray and discern if your life reflects the plan God has created for you.
Please pray for all pilgrims making the journey to Poland to seek the mercy of Christ. We are all going to need your prayers of protection because Satan himself will target and attempt to steal any joy and happiness that is being found.
I will try to keep you all updated from Poland, but stay tuned for an abundance of stories upon my return stateside.
St Michael, protect us.

Sent with an abundance of prayers, and fearless love for our Lord,
